David Beckham Launches Health & Wellness Brand IM8.

Former football star David Beckham is the latest celebrity to join the wellness revolution. He is co-founding a new health and wellness brand called IM8, which focuses on consumer health products. Beckham has also become a strategic investor in Prenetics, a biotech company that will partner with IM8.

Beckham expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with Prenetics, praising their commitment to leading scientific advancements in health. He will also act as a brand ambassador for IM8, which already has a waitlist.

While specific product details are yet to be revealed, social media hints suggest that IM8 will combine natural ingredients and "nature's wisdom" with scientific innovation. The company promises to announce more about its consumer products soon.

"Throughout my life and career, I’ve had access to top medical professionals, nutrition experts, and fitness coaches," Beckham said, reflecting on his inspiration for launching the brand. "Their guidance has been crucial to my health and well-being."

Prenetics CEO and co-founder Danny Yeung highlighted that the partnership with Beckham marks a transformative period for the company. Last year, Prenetics launched a $200 million joint venture with molecular biologist Dennis Lo and the Chinese University of Hong Kong to develop DNA testing for diseases and cancers.

"David epitomizes the values of discipline, teamwork, and health, aligning perfectly with Prenetics’ core principles," Yeung said. "His vision for accessible health for all is truly inspiring. With IM8, we have a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the consumer health and wellness industry."

Earlier this summer, Beckham resolved a sponsorship dispute with F45 Training. His venture capital firm, DB Ventures Limited, continues to invest in the popular functional fitness franchise.

Beckham joins a growing list of celebrities in the health, fitness, and wellness industry, alongside Gwyneth Paltrow of Goop, Jennifer Aniston of Pvolve, Chris Hemsworth of Centr, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently launched the wellness app Erakulis.

The global Beauty & Personal Care market is booming, with a projected revenue of $646.20 billion in 2024 and an annual growth rate of 3.33% until 2028.
