NBA's First-Ever YouTuber Collaboration: MrBeast x Charlotte Hornets.
YouTube sensation MrBeast has teamed up with the Charlotte Hornets for an exciting partnership. His Feastables brand will now proudly grace the Hornets' jerseys as a sponsor patch.
Jacob Gallagher, the Hornets' chief revenue officer, shared, "Our new ownership has given us the freedom to be creative and set new standards. We believe Mr. Beast, a local North Carolinian who's known for turning heads, is the perfect fit to help us achieve that."
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is a North Carolina native and the most popular creator on YouTube, boasting an impressive 188 million subscribers. At just 26 years old, he has already amassed a net worth of $500 million.
This groundbreaking partnership marks the first of its kind between an NBA team and a YouTuber.
MrBeast launched his Feastables brand in 2022, starting with a line of delicious chocolate bars. The brand took off immediately, generating a remarkable $10 million in revenue within its first few months. MrBeast also owns a chain of burger restaurants.
Reed Duchscher, the CEO of Feastables, revealed that discussions with the Hornets have been ongoing for the past four months. He said, "We've been in talks with the Hornets for the past four months, and we were very excited about the possibility because it would make us the first creator-led brand to forge such a partnership. We have a strong belief in the NBA as it's the league most closely aligned with digital culture."
The hope is that MrBeast's immense popularity will boost jersey sales for the Hornets, a franchise that typically doesn't rank among the top 10 in merchandise sales.
